The Wines of Chile

Today’s private full-day excursion takes you into the celebrated Colchagua Valley, where a temperate climate, ideal soil conditions and generations of experience are producing some of the world’s finest wines. Tour the esteemed Viña MontGras where we've made special arrangements for you to work with a master vintner to craft your own wine from start to finish – blending three vintages, bottling, corking and labeling your wine. Enjoy lunch in the lovely town of Santa Cruz and explore the renowned pre-Colombian art collection of the Colchagua Museum.  Meals B, L

Exploring and cooking in Santiago

Experience the sights and flavors of Santiago… But with our innovative World Traveler twist! This morning, your personal guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and together you’ll venture forth by Metro to meet with our renowned chef. Stroll along winding streets and through historic plazas to a farmer’s market as our chef shares his insights into this wonderful city. Under his guidance, you’ll have a chance to sample some of the local produce and to shop for ingredients and spices. Then join our chef at his home and together you’ll prepare a gourmet meal. Once the work is done, offer a toast to your host – with a glass of fine Chilean wine – and relax together over lunch!  Meals B,L

Onward to Argentina’s Wine Country

After breakfast and a leisurely morning, our private car and driver will take you to the airport for your included flight to Mendoza. Upon arrival here in the heart of Argentina’s wine country, you’ll be met and escorted to the Park Hyatt Hotel in the heart of this charming town.  Meals B

The Wine Roads of Mendoza

The vineyards of Mendoza are esteemed for their extraordinary wines including award-winning Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Chardonnay. On today’s full-day private excursion, you’ll visit three of the region’s most historic and celebrated vineyard estates. In the company of your knowledgeable guide, you’ll learn much about Argentine wine as you enjoy tastings at each of these three wineries and sit down to a delightful lunch at one of them. Return to Mendoza and enjoy a free evening at the Park Hyatt Hotel.  Meals B,L

Mendoza to Salta

Founded in the 16th century, Mendoza’s long and fascinating history has endowed the city with many notable landmarks. On this morning’s private tour, you’ll travel along Mendoza’s pleasant tree-lined avenues to discover many of these highlights including Independence Plaza, General San Martin Park and the ruins of the San Francisco Church. After sightseeing, transfer to the airport for your included flight to Argentina’s remote northern province, a land of tranquil vineyard valleys and rugged desert landscapes set against majestic Andean peaks. Upon arrival in Salta, you’ll be met and escorted to the charming Legado Mitico Hotel.  Meals B

Excursion to Cafayate

Journey with your private car, driver & guide into the stunning desert landscapes of northern Argentina and venture into the Quebrada del Rio de las Conchas, a rugged valley with crimson rock formations bearing fanciful names like Devil’s Throat and The Castles. Your destination this morning is Cafayate, a charming town surrounded by vineyards in the foothills of the mighty Andes range. Sample the region’s esteemed vintages including fruity Torrontes wine and visit the bustling town market, a great place to shop for local arts and crafts. Traveling back toward Salta later in the day affords the opportunity to witness the striking color changes of the afternoon light as it shines upon the rocky formations of the Quebrada. Meals B,L

Explore Salta and fly to Buenos Aires

This morning’s private sightseeing tour reveals the old world charm and historic riches of Salta, founded in 1582 and highly regarded today for the splendid preservation of its Colonial-era architecture. Among the town’s impressive landmarks, you’ll see the Archbishop’s Palace and the Cathedral. Visit the nearby village of San Lorenzo before transferring to the airport for your included flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival in the Argentine capital, you’ll be warmly greeted and escorted to the elegant Sofitel Hotel.  Meals B

The best of Buenos Aires

This morning’s private sightseeing tour showcases the best of the Argentine capital - from Plaza de Mayo, the historic and lively hub of Buenos Aires, to colorful neighborhoods like San Telmo, the city’s oldest, and La Boca, the charming waterfront district where the Tango was born! Drive through Palermo with its lovely parks and see the glamorous Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron was laid to rest. Return to your luxury hotel and enjoy the rest of your afternoon to relax, shop and explore as you wish. This evening, we’ve arranged for you to dine at Casa Coupage, widely regarded by savvy local residents as offering some of the city’s finest cuisine and one of the best wine lists in town.
