The Costa del Sol Picoaga Hotel originally was the old mansion of the Spanish noble the Marquis of Picoaga (century XVII). It has now been converted into a comfortable Hotel; intimate and public areas beautifully decorated in colonial style, framed by fine stone archways on two levels; beautiful columns; capiteles and Spanish patio, complete an authentic sample of 17th Century architecture. The Colonial rooms are located around the main patio and maintain the original details of those times, such as the high ceilings beams and large wood doors. Whereas the modern rooms have been designed with the comfort of the guest in mind focusing on the amplitude, tranquility and equipment.
In the heart of the Sacred Valley, this enchanting resort is set on the garden grounds of an 18th-century Colonial monastery. All parts of this trip went smoothly and each had their own character. The tour guides were absolutely amazing, extremely knowledgeable, and passionate about their country and culture. The accommodations ranges from more than adequate to exceptional, and all were unique to the regions in which we were staying. There was little free time to explore independently, though we found that nothing was missed on the trip so there was no real need to do that anyway. Read More »
